Whatever dude... All I see is lancer spam on the game. I can beat the retro. Most people can't aim with the retro. They just hold down the trigger instead of bursting it. The Lancer has the highest accuracy per bullet, and the quickest firing rate. Not to mention the sick damage with actives. Compare the two in a private match with a friend. Hammerburst is decent i the erson using it has a fast trigger finger or is cheating and using a mod. Even then, there is about one down worth within the hammerburst clip. One down, two downs at the most. But you are only downing and killing one opponent. <ONE> opponent. This is what makes it the strongest link for competitive play. Plus, you can't sit there and camp a corner with actives. If someone is out of ammo, and someone walks up on them with a lancer, once the person gets actives with their lancer it's over. It's not even debatable. I'm a star. I've played enough Gears to know what I am talking about. The Lancer is overpowered.
ugh? the Hb is way more accurate... and quickest fire rate? the fire rate is identical to the retro. Im not arguing the lancer isnt overpowered, every starting Ar is overpowered. Im just saying a good Hb user bets a lancer. And Hb start in the alpha playlist or mlg would be bad, it downs way to fast at such long distances. But right now i think every starting weapon is allowed in mlg (not sure if they'll change that)
