"First, I'm not starting this thread so that it becomes a place where people jump in and complain about people boosting. It's just here if you so decide to do so.
Obviously using private matches helps with a lot of these, but if anyone has any specific ideas/strategies to make grinds faster or more efficient please post. Hopefully this topic gains some traction and I'll try to update the OP once a day at the least. Possibly more depending on what I have going on at work.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/99146...war-3/60436507It still takes a while, but this is the fastest way I can think of. All you need is turrets unlocked (or not, see end of post) and a second control or willing friend.
Get your account, and second control.
Start Horde Mode on Wave 1, on Insane (so you die faster).
Get the second person (who isn't boosting) to give the booster all their money. Then the booster grabs a start point, and the nearest turret. The non-booster jumps on the turret and starts firing. The booster then re-fills the turret as fast as possible (mash Y). I did this by holding the trigger on one control and tapping on the other.
Ta-da! You can get about 80 taps before the wave starts if you're quick, leading to speedy Field Engineer.
Don't have turrets yet but want Combat Engineer?
Start on the Hotel map and run inside. Transfer the money to the booster and then use the booster to buy the first base and the $500 spikes that are near it. Bang, you got the ribbon.
At the end of deployment let the grubs kill you (or turn on friendly fire if you have it and try to make it quicker) and then choose to restart the round, and repeat. This is why it must be round 1; so you have adequate money and nothing built. Also insane helps because the enemies stand some chance of killing you, if you help them out.

Savage TheronGet a group of bros. Basically stick to T1 locusts. Have a couple people be wild tickers, another be a ticker, and maybe 1 or 2 be drones. Use the tickers to eliminate structures. Stick to this pretty much the whole way through and you should have no problems. Have a ticker user switch to wretch if situations get hairy and there are clumps of bots shooting everyone, then just scream to stun them and eliminate a couple. If you have a good deposit of cash later towards wave 8 or 9ish, maybe have one of the drone users switch to a corpser, armored kantus, or beserker. Apparently it's best to just have the beserker rush structures from what I understand. You shouldn't really need any locusts higher than T1.
