my gears og war 2 wont work on my arcade any more...every time it runs, i hear a little scratch in the drive and it stops spinning and says disc un readable and when i ceck the back of the disc, i dont see any scratches

Have you had the problem with any other games?

Disk is probally done ive had the same problem but like 4 times now, disk doesnt have to be scratched or not scratched for it to stop working, so more than likely your disk is done.

You can try to go to game library an installing gow2 to your hardrive and if it stops during that an says disk unreadable then you need a new game, if it downloads to your hardrive then use that from now on without the disk.

Don't listen to this scrub because you can't upload a game into the library and play without the disk. The only thing useful for uploading the game onto the library is to help it run smoother, although, this isn't recommended anyways for other games such as Halo 3. Halo 3, many complaints say that it just creates more lag spikes.

what he said was completely valid....your xbox does not have to read the disc to play it if the game is installed into your hd...it simply verifies that it is the correct disc then doesnt play off the disc, therfore making so you can play the game even with a faulty disc. it could have been worded a little better but if you understand how the system works it should have made sense
