A pretty complete list of all I would like to see upcoming in a patch for Gears of War 2 (although just fixing the chainsaw would make it MUCH MUCH better, I still love the game, but the chainsaw is way too overpowered...)



1-Party Options(people that are allowed to join the party):

Open(Recent players, friends of friends, friends, etc...)

Friends(Friends and friends of friends)

Private(Host's friends only)

Closed(Invite only)

2-Kicking players while ingame.

3-Map cycles, just like gears of war 1, so we don't have to go back to host screen after every game.

4-Open Player Matches:

Access a list of games searching by game mode(like in gears of war 1) displaying the map, weapongs replacement, number of rounds, etc. and when you press like LB it shows map cycle and RB shows weapons replacement, Y shows gamercard, X refreshes, etc. Being not able to know what map and game mode you will play is annoying, sometimes you might want to play something more specific, but not alone with bots, because friends aren't always online or there aren't always a lot available to play with you...actually how it is made, you can't even join a game made by someone else unless its on your friend list... it was cool in gears of war 1 to have those lists, at least for player matches, public matches may remain as they are, but we need to be able to join games from people we don't know too, from a list...

5-Replace players that quit in public matches by insane bots, thats better than an empty slot and can convince the players remaining not to quit...

6-Loading screens, make it so we can chat while in loading screens... conversations always get cut by them, it's annoying...

7-Chainsaw:

Unable to run it for like 0.5-1 second after you've been shot.

Unable to run it while getting shot...

Instead of a full clip of lancer make it so 2 bullets-like damage from a Lancer makes the guy getting stunned(instead of 1 like in gears of war 1).

Reduce the stunning lenght(comparing to gears of war 1, it was too long, don't know in gears of war 2, have not really paid attention to it..., don't reduce it too much though)

Too much emphasis was put on chainsaw battles... everyone must've had their achievment now so they can nerf it...

8-Grenades:

Ink grenades need to be better(they don't do really good damage and when you can get to down someone, you can't kill him because you'll get yourself down too...)

Smoke grenades need to have smaller range, they seem too efficient to me...

Another issue about smoke grenades is that sometimes, it takes about 8 to 10 seconds to get back up from a smoke grenade, usually it's like 1 or 2 seconds? You should also be able to do something to get up faster, like moving the control sticks in some way, or button mashing, even though it gets annoying, with chainsaw battles already...

Mine-grenades need to have slightly longer delay before exploding.

Regular grenades need to be more efficient at tagging... From the range you could chainsaw someone, you couldn't tag him... I've been tagging a lot of people chainsawing me but never getting the tag, when I was in range... You need to be able to tag someone who is running towards you with its chainsaw active...

9-Boomshot is a small issue, but in Wingman, 3 bullets is a lot, against 8 enemies, you're most likely not to miss a single shot, and most likely to get 2 kills with at least one rocket...

10-Don't consider ranks in public matchmaking to find enemies and teammates... it's way too long because of that and most people will not care playing with people higher rank than them if it avoids them 5 minutes of wait before every game... Ranks don't really tell skills anyway...

11-Shotgun, make it so it takes 3 bashes to down someone, so people are forced to fire it as it is made for and not bash with it all the time, but nerfing it is good though, now it's not overpowered anymore, it has been replaced with the chainsaw for now, everyone rushes with chainsaw and you can't do anything to stop them...

12-Mortar, make it a bit longer to reload and to shoot, I think it's too good and easy in multiplayer.

13-Weapons respawn:

Grenades respawn way too fast, which causes people to camp with grenade-mines set up to all entrances possible and a map flooded with grenades everywhere... This is ok to have some traps at some specific places, but not to not be able to move throughout the map and make some areas unreachable because they are unblowable from where you are and when u walk over, they blow right away...

Other weapons don't respawn fast enough, they should respawn every minute, like in gears of war 1, I'm not even sure if they even respawn the way it is now, but anyway they should respawn like every minute, besides Boomshot, maybe every 2 minutes, 3 rockets every 2 minutes is enough.

14-Slowing down when getting shot is exagerated, I understand they wanted to stop people from rushing with shotgun, but they nerfed the shotgun anyway, they must not remove this feature, but don't make it slow down that much, also sometimes it seems like it doesn't work, sometimes I slow down, sometimes I don't, when getting shot.

15-Ties:

When there's a tie... make it so it's randomly one of the 2 picks that wins... if it was tie, it's most likely people wanted to play both modes(or at least half/half) and not get a random one in the rest...

16-Bots should never be leader in Guardian unless the whole team are bots... If a bot kills the leader, the next leader should be randomized, or the best player of the round.

17-Improve bots(pretty complete list):

*Don't make the bot show their head when there's a sniper, a torque bow or a boom shot aiming at them, especially on insane, they are too easy targets even though they can aim good at times.
*When getting aimed at and in cover, if they are on lower field or the guy aiming at bot is on side(so the bot's head can be poped off while hes in cover), make the bot move to a different cover where he can't be headshot(if it's too tricky though, it's better not to do it because we don't want them to get stuck going back and forth between 2 cover spots).
*No random wall shooting.
*Do not make them randomly aim with smoke on and showing their head for no reason.
*For insane at least, make them not aim to throw grenades(pressing LT), blind throws, most of people do this anyway, so why shouldn't a bot on hardest difficulty?
*Weapon consideration:don't get into a fight, shooting at the guy for like 2 whole seconds when the bot has a Lancer and the other guy has a sniper/torque bow/boomshot, dont close up with shotgun when the other guy has boomshot.
*No blindfiring for over 2 seconds at snipers, because when you blindfire from cover your head is popable.
*No camping for hours, especially when it's like 1v1/2v2(can be long to watch tongue.gif).
*Staying with teammates, some options to control this would be cool too, like while holding LB u can press something so they stay 'in the area' where they are as long as no enemy enters it, another so they follow the biggest density of teamates(do not make this too complicate, just follow one or whatever, but so theres at least a bit of team in this), because a lot of times, in Wingman, bots go away randomly. A button so they thrown grenades if they have some while holding LB(only one bot does, the one the closest to the guy who called it targeting the closest enemy). Those last 2 could be complicated though, because there might not be only one human player in a team, but it could be like, the guy with the most kills have the control, or something like this?
*When they are dodging shots(when not in cover, I've seen this a few times and they seem to be untouchable on insane, that's great smile.gif, they roll everytime the other guy presses the fire button, at the exact same time), make them not forget about other players in their field of vision, they usually concentrate on dodging like torque bow, and then, another guy runs straight towards him with his chainsaw and the bot does nothing...
*Very great aiming, I was amazed with the headshots some bots did to me on insane, this is good and it's how it is supposed to be played when you pick the hardest difficulty, unfortunately, they are too easy to headshot with a sniper so they usually don't last long...

18- Update www.gearsofwar.com statistics faster, they are always wrong, when I check up on the leaderboards, I have 15-7 record on public executions, and on the website, I can see 5-5...

19-Make it so people can vote to cycle or not weapons every round, because the power weapons are always for the same team since it's every 2 round(like the mortar in Day One, it's always the same team that gets it, while other teams gets Hammer of Dawn) and it takes off the sniping off public games, by having them only 1 round out of 2, and they are nowhere near as present as in the first game in the maps, as boomshot and mortar seem to be everywhere...

20-Also, when you respawn on the same round in games like Submission, Annex, King of the Hill and Guardian, do not respawn with a smoke grenade, this will avoid the map being flooded with mine-grenades everywhere, once again.

yea fucking dumbass, where did i say i wasnt playing it, im playing it and i like it besides the chainsaw which is unstoppable, but that doesnt mean u cant improve it tho? 'wow they made a game, they should never come back to it and update/make dlc for it, its no use cos the game was released, let the ppl enjoy it!!'

btw thats always at the release that they need to patch because there are some bugs they didnt notice/things they forgot in beta testing, weapons not balanced... why would we wait 2 years to patch it when the problem has been there since the release
