well jizzin im not takin sides on anything but most games that are a sequel have the same controls and same movement, cliffy changed it because he didnt like how he kept dying and how things were "predictable" but things always become predictable when you play a game for so long, that is why he wanted to change it. Look at other games such as cod mainly same gameplay same controls, or Fight Night Round 4 the games is badass imo but it flopped due to change in the controls. Gears 2 would of been way more epic if the shotgun was stronger. He(cliffy) has always wanted gears the series in general to be a lancer game and the shotgun as a last ditch effort type thing, but it still has been used as the #1 weapon in the game even being as weak as it once was which lead to the updates of stronger shotgun and less spread of the shot.

Both games are good, it mainly lost fan base because the length of finding a match for 1 weak shotgun which was the favored weapon, difference in movement. it was like buying a completely different game with the same basis of a story(like buying an original coke with different flavor than your used to).

I like it i know yall are gonna rage when i say this but i think its more tactical.

very much so because lancer is constantly being used in ranked games not like gow 1 where if you lancer you quit.

rushing is a tactic, anything involving a plan is a tactic basically. something like randomly planting a frag and walking away hoping you get a kill isnt tactical.

people didn't use it because they didn't want to, the lancer is really good in gears 1. go to a raven down game and lancer someone, in a few rounds everyone is lancering because its really effective. i just hate how epic forced a play style down our throats. did i mention stopping power is stupid.

ya they added delays, reduced the cms, gave you an op hb + boosted lancer, and added stopping power. that all adds up to them trying to force a playstyle on you.

I just want them to make it balanced for both playstyles.

edit: and lancer+active is > than a pistol now if you hit them in the head.

You play how you want jus because they did all that didnt force you to play like that there is still alotta people who rush and it works. You choose your playstyle they jus added more playstyles in

lol i do agree how stupid stopping power is, but hey epic cares bout how cliffy can make it easier for him to get kills not the gameplay for ALL players but still an AMAZING campaign
