not sure which weapon u r saying shouldnt b a starter weapon retro or sawed off. Ill say that retro could use some sort of nerf because of certain gnasher situations with it. Sawed off could probably also use some fine tuning because how it sometimes downs u. I guess they could make it 1 shot kill or nothing (none of that 1 shot downing at questionable range stuff). But please lets not give these weapons power weapon status. They both have draw backs/counters. Comparing boomshot to these weapons in terms of power is a little rediculous.

I'd say the retro does have power weapon status. It has a charge, a 2 hit melee and has more range + is stronger than the flamethrower. The DBS spread needs to be a bit tighter on the blindfire so you have to aim and it shouldn't down.

meh... Sawed-off is ok, just the reload time seems a little long for a double barrel. I mean seriously O_o.

I've only played with the Gnasher/Hammerburst so far. Haven't really tried out any of the Lancer's yet or the Sawed-Off.

But man... The Oneshot is orgasmic to shoot . That and Incendiary Grenades are awesome.

no sawed off is fine

its always easy to kill someone with a sawed off... they always think your going to run into them and you just back up make them shoot then you have like 5 sec + to kill them and if you can then you just fail. keep the wepons the way they are. if they make everything the way it was its just going to be gears 2. new game new stuff...

How? New game doesn't mean bring in op weapons. I just find it funny how hard epic trys to get rid of shotgun battles. I definitely dont want a shotgun only game but the ars with stopping power are extremely op and stopping power needs to be removed or damage decreased.

And gears2 was a shit game that was unbalanced more and more after every update.

The sawed off and the retro aren't overpowered.. If you can't beat them, you just need to play more lol.

It's not whether you can beat them or not... I can beat a worse player with a pistol alone but atleast he stands somewhat of a chance if I'm using a pistol compared to the retro.
