I think Gears 3 sucked the skill out of this franchise. The boost to lancer has made this strictly a rifle game but accuracy doesn't matter at all. Close quarters shotgun battles were the most skill required part of this series. I can't see this having long term potential since progress is capped and the only reason to play is leveling up mmo style. If they did a 50% damage reduction on the rifles and removed the SOS from online play, or made it a pickup, this game would be wayyyy better. Dedi's on Gears 2 would have been ace.
