but not everyone is there at rockets or overshield or sniper. There's already an alternative weapon ready for each team. Getting an alternative weapon isn't as hard as Gears 2, because you respawn and people can't clutch with Lancer. You literally have to hard-aim, stop, and get your ass raped in the open trying to go for a power weapon whereas Halo 3, you have a chance at clutch. Gears 2 is all lancer, no skill involved. I'd rather play matchmaking/gb anyday than try 200% to play Lancer on MLG for a winning prize.

there are still glitchs, if you watched mlg dallas they play on lan and there are still glitchs lol.

Epic doesn't support competitive gaming. So all updates that are directed towards XBL isn't updated through LAN. That's why there are still glitches and ragdolls.
Whats the point of playing GB / Matchmaking if it isnt the same on LAN. I guess all you can do is improve your teamwork or go play with others on LAN over and over again.

Their response to the server side updates was "only one person needs to be signed into xbl" lol...
