cod 4 is for people that dont want to spend time learning how to play a game (anyone can pick up a controller and start killing, you die really fast but it is more realistic)
i mean if you do play cod 4 a lot you will get better at it but you can still be competitive when you first start to play

halo 3 you actually have to take time to learn to play (reason why most people say it sucks, they played once and said it sucks b/c they sucked at it)
if you havnt played any other halo you will most likley not get kills until you play a lot and get better

Gow i havnt played much but i have watched a friend play a few times, idk much about that game though so i cant say how good it is

imo halo 3 is better but it takes longer to get good at

I prefer Halo 3. The multiplaye is fun and actually takes skill. Cod4 you can rank up so easy. It takes little skill.

Gow was alot of fun but none of my friends play it anymore so i dont either

only thing i hate about cod is the fact that you cant do online versus with 4 people on one console, not even private matches.

COD4 its more realistic than halo 3 i havent played gears though but i love call of duty its amazing
Halo 3 is dumb at times on live because of the melee system and is more future warfare than modern
i like games to be realistic

u obviously don't know what your talking about.
First of all, to be good at Cod4 you gotta think about every move you make and its also a crazy strategy game just like CS 1.6
I used to play cs 1.6 and i was Cal-m and to look at Cod4 its quite similar in many ways when it comes down to Search and Destroy.
Im sure that a newb can pick up a controller and start killing people but that doesnt mean he knows how to play.
Halo 3 is a good game but Cod 4 rapes it in many aspects, im not gone go into detail but lets say Hardcore, Search and Destroy rape.

Halo 3 is a good game but it just doesn't live up to my standards.
Some people say Halo 3 is getting old, now their just stupid , FPS dont get old unless your doing Campaign.
