Can't happen, sorry. I don't pay attention to my "exp" gainings, so I don't know whether if host leaves, you lose exp as well. But in any case, as far as the system goes, this is how it works and you've must have done something wrong.
I'm just sort of paying attention till I hit 50, then i could care less. but, i'm assuming I either have bad internet(even tho no lag), or gears just hates me.
