Well in GoW1 it seems like you have to pre shoot if you want to kill anyone most of the time.

thats not lag, that just means he hit you.
if you roll pass someone ( on your screen ) and you died when you he was behind you, its a glitch. you actually rolled in front of the kid.

ya to time the lag, but its easy, in gears 2 the cshd helps you so if you shoot someone and blood shows in a laggy match some of the time you didnt actually hit them the client side is just making the animation or w/e, thats why it takes like 6 shots to kill people in a laggy match sometimes.
