I hate pavillion and jacinto for guardian (and inb4 lolguardian, i play for the respawns, although that is part of the reason for the spawn camping) but i hate those maps because of spawn campers... ill constantly have to hide in a corner only to have my 3 second immunity shield wear out and get hammer of downed, hammerbust/lancered down or dumb nades planted.

My friend tries to sound like a master, and it pisses me off, by saying "ur not doing it right, all you do is rush out and its not working.. try something different"
and i say, wtf am I supposed to do at spawn? he says throw a smoke, when there is so much visibility from spawn and where they camp (right by the steps)

anyone else run into this shit? also, should I 2 piece like everyone else? i always lose 1v2s to this, might start doing it since everyone else does.

If they camp with the hammer jus control sniper they have a wait time for it to drop long as your good with snipe easy headshot.
For trying to push try to go with a few people assuming your playing with randoms let them go first for nades etc then push right behind them.

You're bad, clearly, and it sounds like your team is, as well. Now that we got that out of the way, let us discuss two-piecing. Two-piecing is completely acceptable because they ruined Shotguns when they made Gears 2. That being said, go out there and get better teammates. Mortar = Win, Hammer of Dawn = Win, Sniper/Torque = Win. Don't be bad. Figure out how to get them to work, and figure out how to control the spawns.

Um it's been a while since I played Gears, but I don't think there is a hammer of dawn on either of those maps. Controlling the power weapons is obviously vital when it comes to leading your team to victory.

Pavillion doesn't have a hammer, but Jacinto does. It shares the spawn with the Boomshot... For Guardian on Pavillion, though, controlling the mortar is a huge help.
