Has anyone had the same problem as I have? One beautiful summer day I decide to play gears of war...i get to one of the menu screens and a disc error appears. The disc is ejected only to find a nice burned in ring around the center of my disc. No more gears for me and also Microsoft says it happens sometimes and there is nothing they can do, i called them myself, besides replacing the damaged disc. Lemme know if any of u had this same problem or had it fixed or continued to play after one disc got destroyed.

put it in case, take back to walmart, complain that you got it like that, and they might replace it

they will replace it, just be like, i dont have my receipt, i didnt plan on returning it, but i just bought it yesterday, and throw a fit, they will just replace it.

switch it with a blockbuster rental one

Lol same happened to me. I bought mine from Best Buy and after my warrenty ended. They wouldnt take it back, they told me to call microsoft. I caled microsoft and they told me to call the Game creators.

After literally about 30 minutes of trying to find a number I finally got one. Called them up and after a long argument they told me to call the people who created the disc, since they didnt manufacture them.

Boy was I pissed. Cause like there is no way to find out who the fuck made your disc/

But you can go to some gaming stores and pay for a repair because in Canada most gaming stores have devices made for just cleaning games and stuff.

The rings on the disk is usually due to the movement of the Xbox. even a small little nudge while the game is running or while the xbox is TURNED ON, it will somehow scratch it, its sorta bullshit, i have about 4 rings on my halo3, and 3 rings on my rockband, but they seem to work fine, my nba2k8 had a huge scratch on it and wasnt able to play so i brought it to blockbuster[or your movie/gaming area] and i asked them if they can repair it and i payed like 5 bucks and it was completely good, so you can try that

this happend to me last week was playin brand new rainbow six vegas 2 and boom error disk they gave me a new one tho yet i was extremely pissed at first

I already went through 3 gears of war discs in my day.. some for no reason at all really..
One was mine
One was my Friends
Third one i stole from a friend.. out of the blue one day i put it in my xbox and it says cant read disc.. the disc is perfect.
