Its fun at first but as you level you realize to be good you have to cash shop. Depending on what server you join you will be thrown in this scenario sooner than others. Lost City being old has a large divide between cash shoppers with +12 armor and normal players. While new servers will obviously be different because cash shopping doesnt get you very far at first.

(+12 means you used mirages or d orbs to enhance the stats of your armor and weapon. It is called refining and 12 is the highest.)

If you put money into the game you will probably just end up pissed off at the devs for never doing anything to make the game better for you..just doing what Chinese servers do eventually.

A main part of the game is territory wars and if you join an older server you will not get to experience the fun at tw as a new player and will find it much harder to get into a faction that stands a chance against the main factions.

Example: essense almost owns the whole map on Lost City (my character is in essense). There is no competition at all.... so its just every week roll through a quick war...the end.

Newer servers will be better for new players obviously.

So if you want to play the game for a longer amount of time before your server goes to shit play a new server.

They recently removed the reward for owning a territory and replaced it with mirages which cut it down to almost nothing. This made warring pointless in older servers because people played for the money and joined good factions for the money. The guilds that manage to stay together without the profit they had before dominate. PWI entertainment said they did it to increase the amount of people doing war, but it has decreased and they are talking about fixing it.

I also think it would be wise to explain this to you because it influences which server you choose-
There are two different types of servers
PVP and PVE

PVP servers you can start pking as soon as you hit level 30 you can not turn off your ability to be pked / everyone is fair game

In PVE servers you have the choice to turn off PVP (Blue Name) or on (White Name)

I personally chose PVP because its more exciting to have KOS (Kill on Sight) factions hunting you and always being on your toes XD
