Ok, I'll make this easy for you. If you're the kind that likes to gank people 1on1 or 1on2 doing world pvp, then a venomancer with phoenix is the best class. Besides the cost of the Phoenix, a venomancer can be extremely potent with relatively little gear.
Venos are also one of the fastest levelers, and easiest to solo quests with.
Archers suck past level 90 unless you have +12 refining Lunar bow. In other words, spend $2000+ on the game. Even then, they die relatively easy being that they are the only class without a reliable defensive spell.
Clerics are good for group pvp.
Mages are good for group pvp, can also 1shot people, expensive to level though.
I left out BM and Barbs since you wanted ranged.
i kinda want to expand on this....
mages and archers are a pain in the arse to lvl... they need constant mana, and without any sort of heiro charms, its a long road. I made an archer alt and what i found that helped TONS was >.< i forget the name of it.. but at lvl 10 there is a potion you can use that is made in the apoth, that recovers 50 hp/sec, i dont think this is accurate considering for me its 20hp/sec, or hell it might be 20hp/.5 sec, idk... but it lasts for 10 minutes, not as good as a heiro charm but it helps tremendously... to make this pot tho you need i think lvl 4 apoth, i suggest gettin into a fac and asking some fac members to craft these for you... i lvled 1-50 in about 3 weeks for my mage, but he was doubled charmed (mp,hp). but this was CONSTANT playing. But my archer is not lvling too bad... but if you choose archer or mage or any ranged player... if you can i would suggest gettin the earliest legendary weapon for your lvl... for my made i didnt know of these so i waitied till lvl 51 before i realized i could use wheel of life... and OMG i thot i owned... But at lvl 22 you can get a Moonlight bow, which i must also say PWNS... these two items will set you back anywhere from 900k-1.3 million coins.. this is LC server
