either barb or blade? not really sure yet cuz I haven't had a chance to play yet watchin on dl..... but (if the toons can wear shield and spec in shield or even not) would shield plus wep and then a switch over to a 2handed for damage be a good spec? sorry if this sounds newbish but this spec is uber in dark age of camelot for tanks cuz tanks hold agro with shield and sword can pound for hrs and switch to 2-handed wep like a spear , axe or long sword for the best damage out put? also any1 know a templater system for this game? and wuts the caps on swing rate/ swing spd. and wut stat caps this? sorry I know it's alot of asking but would really like to know

no shields

blademaster = no aggro skills

barbarian = the actual tank class (since venomancer got a tank pet, barbs arent the only tanks anymore)

later on blademaster can tank lower lvl bosses, but still possible to loose aggro. so if u want melee tank class, go barbarian, if u want melee dd class with some hp, go blademaster. weapon is ur decision, most common are dual axe, in early game (1-40 ?) take anything u get and think is nice, there is a lvl 50 dual hammer via supply box and a lvl 51 dual axe via quest, after that lvl 60 hh dual axe, lvl 70 mold dual axe, (lvl 80 hh dual axe), lvl 90 hh gold dual axe

but actually, i guess u dont understand what i want from u, so just get into game and play ^^

uh im a lvl77 Blademaster and ive had no problem tanking any boss, and ive never been out aggrod by any barb either, yes barbs got more aggro skills and alot more hp but dont rule out BMs for tanks

If your looking at whos better at tanking Barb or Blade
Barb wins hands down
Barb has many aggro skills that keep enemys on you and not on you party (Most reasons Partys like Barbs)
Barb gets more out of Vit then anyone else and gets abot 1k hp around lvl 15 if you build you stats right.

aehm, its not about getting outaggro by a barb who is hitting normal, would be very tragic tbh. but u cant keep aggro at all, if a barb is using aggro skills. and furthermore, im 100% sure u cant keep aggro vs an archer or mage same level, who are shooting normal, 1-2 crits and ur done for. there are other problems regarding a warrior tank like, no turtle to start on drum boss, so that the ep got time to set bb, ur like 1 hit to a few bosses in hh2-3 (actually they can also onehit barbs without bb, depending on lvl / build)

try venomancer with a herc.

best tanks in pwi is barb and veno w/ herc. bms dont have a good agro skill and they would lose agro to dders.

yea actually now that I have played the game and looked at all the skills I am leaning towards the wf I've played warrior archer mage wb (not high lvl of course so I don't know wut endgame is like) but I'm liking the casters I have a lvl 19 wizard and have decided that man it sux when mobs get up to u... and with the experience with daoc enchanter has pets with a focus so I'm wondering if a veno can massive pull mobs and I am wondering about this skill

never played a veno, but actually i would say no, but here comes the thing: hercules got a bramble self buff, which lets him kill any boss faster than 2 dds, as long as the bsos wont kill it. so as someone before said, if u got the money, the veno is the best 1on1 char (with nix bleed bug), best tank (with hercules), best money maker (solo TT(HH) in party mode), easiest char to lvl, important in tw... with some exceptions he can do everything with lvl, money, time and some luck in dragontemple for some purple skills

The word OP fits the veno well. but anyway, u need to like the class, otherwise u get bored to death and wont have fun playing an OP class. btw even without pumping hundreds of dollars into the game, over some time, u are able to farm the nix urself, though its hard if ur starting so late

no you can't cast on your pet, only a self buff



herc actually doesnt kill any boss faster than a crystaline magmite (rock), only thing herc is good for is tanking/survivability period
