I currently gain 75% chance to pierce with all of my + skill gear. Is that enough to skip using a razortail and use a t-gods instead? Or do I really need 100% pierce? I feel like the +3 lightning fury, +20 str and +20 vit, along with the lightning absorb would come in much more handy than another 25% pierce. Thoughts?

during the 13 year i played lod and the 2 ive played d2r ive never use razortail for anything. so idk from experience but i would suspect that t-gods would be better for your zon. just test it out and see.

you can do without razortail for sure, but keep in mind that 75% pierce means the chance of hitting 5 targets in a row is only just above 30%. so your dmg per throw is significantly lower, which of course can be compensated by throwing more javelins. this however almost forces you to use titans, since they are the only javs with that super fast replenish

the difference between 75 pierce and guaranteed pierce is huge. a non-piercing fury deals a fraction of the aoe dmg that a piercing fury does. an additional +3 to lightning fury doesn't even come close to the damage increase that 25% pierce provides you with

razortail is the last thing you should compromise with on a pvm java
