That was regarding WW speed and had nothing to do with trap laying speed, 2 different things. A double GT or RT claw setup (both claws having the same speed) resulted in an AWSM of -30 and needed 42 IAS for the max trap laying speed - so people socketed 1 IAS jewel in their mainhand to achieve that.

All that is outdated though and things have been changed in D2R.
