There is a cast delay built into the skill. .4 seconds I believe. All of the build reccos I see say FCR important....is fcr important on this type of pally?

It allows you to finish your animation faster to do another action in-between.
For example in pvp with a mage build (blessed hammer / fist of heaven), allowing you to cast and then follow up with a hammer / teleport / charge / smite will benefit from the faster frames.
For PvM, generally it won't affect you as much since actions are not desired since it will be your main damage source.


What do you intend to use your character for?

Pvm

Unless you are getting items that naturally come with faster cast rate, just focus mainly on damage since you won't benefit from cast rate, unless you plan to make the character with other sources of damage.

So hand of blessed light over hoto?

It would give more damage over hoto, but you also need to think about your characters overall stats.

If you need the resistance, then hoto would be a better choice.
Although the scepter you said can work and will provide more damage.
Depends on how much you are willing to spend really.

I also have a couple quick FOH questions made one for the first time and more PVM myself

1. With running conviction for -resists you don’t need a lightning sunder charm correct? But would a magic sunder charm be useful at all for holy bolt and magic resists ?

2. Do the Griffins Eye and Rainbow lightning jewels work the best to increase your lightning damage? I didn’t know if the +% lightning skill damage worked for FOH damage……or if more +skills was better
