how does defense work on a pvp charger pally
i am aware that if you have run toggled on then you have a much higher chance of being hit
what if i was to keep run off but still use the charge attack, would it nerf my def or keep it high because i'm technically not running, i'm using an attack, like hammers it an attack and i can use that and stand there in the shit and not be phased.
even with the hammers and run toggled on, i'm still pretty much unhittable most of the time. is the def nerf a run toggled on or off thing, or an actual moving thing, or during an attack thing? please elaborate

i'm currently running the glass cannon charger build with a two handed death and max deadly strike and max crushing blow but no shield because i figured since i'd be charging then my defense would be nerfed anyways.
but if my def is not nerfed while charging with run toggled off, would it be beneficial to switch back to a one handed death and shield. i would still have like max deadly strike and max crushing blow,
and i would use holy shield for a bunch more def and max block as well

also, is there anything in the game that effects charge speed?
like vigor or other bonuses to run walk speed
i dont really see a difference in in my charge speed when i toggle run on and off, but i think my vigor might make it a little faster. its hard to tell

- def does work with charge even if you are running: enemies habe to pass a hit check, there is no automatic hit
- blocking is reduced to 1/3 while charging (max 25%)
- charge is not affected by frw on items, but it is affected by slow/chill/decrep/vigor
- as I read it, charge has the same speed regardless of if you are running or walking

I dno.
Used to run God BA perf + Pheonix ST 400 perf (45@)

And if you do the math ur at 2 range adder(enough in most scenarios), close to same damage, have 75% block, get bonuses in res and abs from shield, get 50life from shield. Can smite and so on...

(427+586)/2 * (1+((838+509+1575)/100)) * 1,72 = 26327 average damage. (25% CB, 10% ow)

26327 * 0,17 * 0,5 = 2237 average damage vs 50% DR enemy player.

9k smite dmg

Now 2 hander, dno what best, let me know and i can check.

Anyway, here we got 85fr/85lr/75pr/75cr/20% cold abs, cnbf, 31% dr, max block, 13950 defense, 4719 life.
AR: 1898 * (1+((99+509+218+455)/100)) = 26211 AR (with -12,5% enemy defense)

I can also build tele version, NP... If want immune to typical lvl 1 mindblast we could even get that i think...

Dunno are these correct, copied from Charge Pally guide. Anyway last part was kinda of a joke 😁 Phoenix is fine shield for charger.

Certain armors slow you down and so do some of the weapons.

You ideally want a Lo Lo war pike cruels and a viso and fort ap with highlords, gores and rends and 2x ravens and 2x res rings

If you don’t have max block is doesn’t matter if you run or walk, but if you have your shield side out then turn walk on.
