Looking for some help on my pvm zealer, he's got pretty decent gear which was all self found besides the Lo runes but main question is how much AR should I be trying to hit?

RESISTANCES: 75 FR, 42 CR, 80 LR, 49 PR

my zeal damage shows as 1140-1541 and AR shows as 7298

Obviously upgrades can be made to my charms, my amulet sucks as well but I threw it on for more AR

Besides getting a hilords is there any other like obvious upgrade that doesnt cost a fortune or is this fairly standard? Are more AR charms worth it? Should I scrap the laying of hands and go dracs or something?
I just feel like I don't hit monsters as frequently as I thought I would or kill as fast as I would have thought

For pvm, AR is pretty pointless for a zealer. Grief has ITD which will put your chance to hit at 95% for all but boss monsters.
I will always smite over zeal for boss monsters and smite always hits

ahh ok did not realize, i guess the ITD doesnt show as 95% chance to hit though? Because it says chance to hit is like 7x% depending on the monster.

I guess then i will switch out for just dmg or lifer charms and definitely get that hilords

Correct. Your character screen is not going to show your actual chance to hit. ITD is so OP when it comes to pvm its not even funny. Happy hunting!

Reapers merc with might?
Max Zeal, Sacrifice, and Fanaticism. Then blessed aim gives 5% AR or Holy Shield for block/Def or Resistance lightning for upping Maximum light resistance.

your most urgent upgrade, besides hl, would be eni. not having teleport cripples your clear speeds significantly.

I suggest swapping out the following items:

Verdungo's for String of Ears
Mahim Oak for Highlord's Wrath

Laying of Hands are best in slot for pretty much almost every PvM melee build because of the damage boost. The Life Tap from Dracul would actually override the decrip from your Merc. Assuming you're using a merc with Reaper's Toll.

As others said swap verdungos for string, highlords and enchant with demon limb if you have it. You do need ar against bosses but you should probably be good with enchant. The rest looks good gear wise inventory you could improve eventually. I wouldn’t get an enigma since fort is the best option for damage so unless you’re doing mf runs or something I’d skip it. Do you have jewels in the guili/hoz?

You will do massive damage with close to 100% DS, big CB and ED from Phoenix.

Nigma gives tele and huge Hp. Good leech with belt + ring, life after kill with grief + enigma, Phoenix gives redemption so you have steady dream of HP. Zeal has no use for mana leech since zeal costs 2, and with dmg to mana from enigma + carrion wind you always have enough.

Don’t waste time with demon limb, grief always hits and you can smite bosses.
