Seems like testing one wouldn't be as effective in determining their worth as trying to beat one. That's a good guide. Enjoyed the read. I don't think I would like that playstyle but I know it's complex enough that you couldn't just make one and jump in and then determine it's "shit." I'd like to see this guy vs a good bone nec. That would tell the tale.
