I was under the impression that fire mastery does not affect range damage, at least in LOD. I was looking at maxroll which seems to suggest in D2:R that it actually does impact it(Fire mastery on enchant orb, or, +3 fire skills 2 enchant > 2 fire skills 3 enchant). Is maxroll wrong, or did something change in D2:R that i was unaware of?

I just tested this as best as i could, and apparently yes, fire mastery affects range damage unless the warmth from +3 fire skills applies. I wasn't able to find a directly comparable orb unfortunately so if anyone has any input or has tested this i'd love to hear what you found

It affects it, but not twice and multiplicable like with melee.

Nah, I think with max precast + dream helm u max out at like 28k dmg.
And thats like a slow casting fireball if combined with brand, a slow casting piercing fireball if used with demon machine crossbow and a 28k dmg guided arrow if used with widowmaker.

A warshrike can war 2 x dream though and has 50% pierce chance, and u can melee with 9fpa on knife on sorc with the multiplicable effects and that knife got -20wsm and 30ias. It would also leech decent. By having lvl 5 psn dagger in ring or gloves or ammu u could gain like around 100% attackrating bonus.
