Hey guys,
I have never killed ubers on HC - and wanted to give it a go as I farmed quite some bank this season.

As I'd prefer not dying (duh?) I thought I should look into some guides - but I cant for the sake of it figure out why they have so high hopes on that stupid ass metalgrid?
I mean, the 35% all res is nice - but thats about it?

I mean, the AR is useless for a smiter right?

I would just assume a Mara's would be better?

Mara is fine
depending on your setup you may want hl for the ias
Rising Sun is also mucho gusto

I do ubers with cats eye on hardcore, works fine. I'm using a 102 4 pdiamond shield for uber meph and treachery prebuff.

Build:
Heaven's Light shael shael, or Black Runeword Weapon Knout
Treachery armor prebuffed in fire at river of flame way point
Sacred Targe 4os with Pdiamonds hitting 102 all resist
Goblin toes
Guiliams face um'ed
Dungo Belt
Raven Frost ring
Cat's Eye amulet
Rare ring light and poison resist
Dracs gloves (crucial part of build)
Light tap wand and hoz um'ed back bar

metalgrid makes no sense for smiter

All Ress ^^ nothing else. Works fine if dont have Mara.

Why dungo instead of strings?

More life, life rep, hitting 3500 life. You can probably use string if you want, I don't think the belt matters that much. What matters most is drac's.
