Hi there, Im currently working on making a classic hardcore barbarian on the current d2:r classic ladder .

Im wondering if anyone could link me to guides or post their own thoughts on what is required to make a good barbarian in hardcore classic.

I would like to go with a frenzy barb perhaps but if that isnt really that good compared to a ww barb, ill just stick with ww.

Post links to past builds or in your own words describe the needed gear/stats/skills required for each barbarian build.

I would like to see things like alternative budget gear, as well as what a fully equipped build looks like.

Frenzy isn’t really useable in classic so definitely go ww.

Solo leveling to 30 not sure if double swing flails or conc maul is better

Budget gear is just sigs, angelics, bonesnap. Other good items are rattlecage, goldskin, gtoes, iratha, maybe pdiamonds in helm if you can’t get ar. Just have combination of life, res, dmg, ar and crushing blow

Best setup for classic chars use rares. Get the best mart you can find (ed/ar socketed with amethyst) or use a battle hammer with a pavise if you want a shield. Ornate with ed and life, grim helm with res and life, dual leech gloves, angelics or rings with ar, leech, res, life, etc. gtoes so you have crushing blow.

Max bo, ww, mastery. 1pt in other masteries, 1pt berserk is ok, few points in nat res helps, find item if you want, rest shout

2H WW got nerfed in 2.5. If those changes also apply to classic then you won't be able to hit 4PA with anything but swords. Thanks Blizzard.

Im assuming they do not , can anyone confirm that? Im sure if this was the case a martel would not have been suggested

So I have been playing classic hardcore on my ww barb for a bit now. I was wondering , is angelic ammy + ring absolutely necessary for my ww barb? and if it is should i use two angelic rings or is just one fine?

The one is ok imo. Finished a walkthrough w/o any, just used regular ar rings and had some on wep too. Almost threw 3pdiamonds in helm but didn’t need it in the end. Again as long as you have dual leech, ok res, decent dmg, decent ar (60% to hit) you’ll do fine
