Hey guys,

I have just started playing D2:R and I'm now building up my hdin.

The current gear is as follows:
- eni mp
- shako 'um'
- maras
- 2x soj
- arach
- hoto
- cta / spirit
- herold of zakaum shield

But I'm not sure about the gloves and boots. Could you guys kindly support here?

Also, I would reach 125% fcr by using my spirit 35% and an additional fc ring (or gloves with fc?).
Is it worth it or is 75% fcr totally fine?


I'm planning to use this pally only for pve, e.g. baals or boosting.

Is it a 100% must to get all 4 maxres in hell or is it also fine if one resistance stays at, say, 50?

Ah, and: is it a noticeable difference if I hit a bigger fhr breakpoint or doesn't that matter?

Not 100% necessary but you will for sure notice it if its in the 50s or maybe even 60s, it is pretty easy to max it though on a hammerdin, you get a lot from your shield, hoto, torch and anni. I use a 41 all res spirit, an amu with 37% fire res and no other res, hoto, high res torch, high res anni and im maxed with that.

Alright. Thank you! Since I bought quite low anni and torch, I think I might have to substitute with a few scs then.

And last question about the %faster hit recovery breakpoints, do they matter at all?

Buying a high res anni would be super cheap though, they go for nothing now, and torch is pretty cheap aswell!

No I never care about fhr and never notice it on hammerdin. Leveled to 99 this ladder without thinking about fhr once.

Spirit give you all the FHR you need for pretty much every PVM char, don't worry about that.

Fire and lightning resist are very nice at 75, poison and cold are not that important, you can get some plains 11FR or LR small charms if needed to cap those you, they should be cheap.

I have just finished purchasing the gear for the paladin (*edit: I bought exactly what Titus recommend). He has 125 fcr now and yeah, I can confirm what said up above, 75 fcr really does suck and 125 is much better to play. With a few substitute resistance scs I managed to get to 75@ allres on hell. For my merc I got an eth insight CV.

First thing tomorrow I'll finish all the skill and stat in all difficulties. As I'm missing them right now, my hammer only deals 9k dmg haha but there's more to come, I'm sure. I'm also only lvl 81 yet so there are more levels to be had.

Already tested the guy for a few minutes as it is on hell and it's awesome! Thanks very much guys.
