So I have just purchased D2:R and decided to give it a try.
Since I haven't been playing Diablo2 in many years I can't really remember much about the game. I do remember playing a Sorceress back in the day, so I was thinking this could be my first char now.

What is a good guide for a basic mf sorc? In the guide's list I found this one from 2010. Is it still valid? https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=47522179
Is it possible to respec a char if I put the wrong skills or decide to play a different build?
And is there something like a "leveling build" vs. "high level build"? Or do you just choose a high level build in advance and then spec into it as you level up?

105 fcr is break point, you don't need it but yeah, 63 really isn't that bad

also you probably want around 250mf

and regarding the skill build, does it really matter or can I just choose one, e.g. cold?

Blizzard. Get smooth with Teleporting onto mobs, hitting "glacial spike" and "blizzard" immediately after, then tele away and hit Blizzard again on mob.

I use glacial/orb/iceblast to change it up a bit. 1 point only into orb though, its just a little boost to iceblast and glacial.

Make sure you have cold sunder as well. I only use 1 point into mastery if solo. If you are going player 8, thats diff gear and point dist all together.

Lotta fun this season so far, all content is doable. If you are having issues, try putting "delirium" helm on your merc. Kinda funny watching everything attack each other while you blast em.

How come you prefer Blizzard over Frozen orb?
And how much mf should I aim for?

Blizzard is really good for damage. Once you get good/smooth with it, you'll be killing, moving, killing, moving, etc.

Speed. 250 is a good spot to start. As you get better and figure out mechanics you can add more here and there. You don't wanna be on a pack for more than a second or two. One mississippi, two mississippi, and if it isn't dead by that, take off some mf for dmg. But blizzard is really strong with a sunder charm and "cold mastery".

I use 250-450 depending on if Im doing elite packs/uniques or bosses. Higher mf for boss kills, lower mf for sniping packs for efficiency
