No it's not. You also want to get silkweave boots for mana per kill and an ias/3 mpk jewel in griffons. Don't spam fury like a bat out of hell, make sure your shots are effective and jab when there are only a few monsters.

ah damn it. was hoping its enough. im playing on hc. need res on boots so silks are unfortunately no option. thx for your answer.

it'll still help you a lot. note that you can also get maek from glove slot by crafting. that might take you a while though

I don't have silks either but I'm trying out Wisdom runeword for the pierce +5maek +cnbf. Keep in mind it's not best, but this is budget cow runner on hc. Wisdom should free up ring slot from raven plus boot slot from silks, since there are better boots for rest and mf. It also saves skills from pierce, if you have raxor +wisdom,bobly need 1pt pierce.

Anyways keypoint is ML alone is not enough for java if you don't want to pot. You need nana after each kill. 15ias/3maek jewel will be hard to find at this stage in HCL

what boots are better than silks for cow running? You don't need resists at all for cows. Silks are strictly the best. Javazons dont care about stacking mf. Killing speed > mf especially for cows.

Ah yes, agreed they are best for pure cows. It was me who said pure cow runner, not OP. I agree silks+damage helm is better for cows.

OP mentioned HC, and not pure cow runner, so was just throwing out options that considered the res boot constraint mentioned.
