Hello. I’ve been saving up to make my first infinity. As I have about enough for the two bers, my question falls to if I should use my 4 os eth cryptic axe, or wait to find/buy an eth giant thresher. I more than likely will never be trading the infinity.

I’m aware of the speed to CB factor involved with threshers. To add to this. I’m running treachery/andies with a 15% ias/ fire resist jewel.

so im guessing this is for your merc? if it is then ca will hit hard and fast, but eth giant will hit really hard like a burst.. personally i run a nova sorc and my merc has eth ca 17 med insight while i have an eth scythe infin.. ive done both builds and i love this one more.. i max the static hit mob with static and come in with nova and game over even on p8 games..
if youre just doing lite sorc.. thats just my opinion.. but to your question i would go eth ca regardless but thats just me.. if its for the merc then you need the speed to hit to proc the life leech from andys...

Thanks for the info. I have the runes, and the 4 socket CA. But I might hold out and buy another base. I do plan on running treachery/15 ias Andy.

Treach Andy with IAS jewel you'll have a better raw damage DPS with a GPA than a GT or CA, but if you're wanting the damage from speedy hits vs high base damage I'd go with Giant Thresher or Thresher.

Thresher and GT also have like a 1 or 2 point average damage difference, but GTs can be 100 FG more in terms of actual cost depending on the market fluctuation. Speed is the same, but since you're caring more about the speed than raw damage it shouldn't even matter unless it's to min max despite marginal returns.
