Hello Guys,

I got all the runes and the FG to create and buy a full Fire Sorc (Fire ball with meteor and some Hydras).

The goal is to destroy solo P8 Chaos (as a threshold, meaning she can clear all the other content wayyyyy more easily).

I don't really know what weapon is better to fit in this gear setup (pure PVM build):
Helm: Flickering Flame
Weapon : ? I have an hoto 39. Maybe a eschuta 3/20 socketed 5/5 might be better... I need you here.
Off-hand: Phoenix
Armor : Ormus 15fire 3FB (I think is the best, do you confirm it?) socketed 5/5
Gloves : magefist
Amulet : Mara's 24 all res
Belt : Arach
Boots : Waterwalk? Maybe sandstorm is better here.
Ring 1 : +10fcr / +15 all res
Ring 2 : Stone of Jordan (SoJ)
Skillers : as many skiller as possible (clean)
Sunder charm: fire -70fr
Torch : 14 stats / 19 all res sorc torch
Annihilus : 17 stats / 20 all res / +10%exp
Switch weapon : CTA (flail) +x / +2 / +x
Switch off-hand : Spirit 35fcr

MERC :

Weapon : infinity
Helm : Andy's non-Eth with RAL 105ed / 10LL / 30 str
Armor : Perf Fortitude in Eth Sacred Armor

What do you think is best as a weapon?
Do you maybe have an alternative build for such sorc?

Looks like current meta is to stack as much -ress as possibile. I would go with eschuta with -5/x rbf and look for rare/magic fire sorc orb with 2 sockets so you can get -10 fire on weapon.

The answer is it depends.
Pure damage against non fire immunes your build (with eschuta) is highest possible (technically a +3 fire skills amulet is more damage but yeah). Meteor or FB ormus depending on what you prefer.
Pure damage against fire immunes 6 facet crystal sword, skin of the viper, 2/20 amulet and 2x 10 fcr rings is better. But it does less damage against non fire immunes.

I would personally go with the all rounder build. The FI build does like 1k-3k more damage per second on fire immunes, while the non FI build does like 15k more damage per second on non fire immunes. I don't think it's worth sacrificing that much DPS for a marginally higher kill speed vs Venom Lords and Doom Knights etc.

Thanks both of you (Kratos also) for your insights.

I'll check with Hoto as I have it now and will do a Eschuta difference later. I won't go for the CS6facets, I don't like the design (esthetic first :D) and want some good FCR/Res.

How about 6fb/20fcr/2os orb? It will gives you more dmg than eschuta but you have to find 15fcr ammy.

You have 39 hoto. Kida hard to beat...

3 fire / 20 fcr / 2 socket circlet with 2x facets in it
V magi with facet
Magefist
Arach
Bk
Bk
2sorc/15fcr amulet

That’s likely the best setup

But lots of derivatives out there. Such as ormus and 1x FCR ring
Or flickering flame + 2x FCR rings

All will perform relatively the same.

But 6 facet sword + Phoenix will be the best setup.

Where the + fire damage on facet is rather meaningless. It’s all about the -30% fire resist

A plain oculus with 5/5 rbf or a low DF in case you don't like random tele.
