Wouldn't be better to max frozen orbe instead of glacial spike or ice blast?

Blizzard will do lesss damage but FO will compensate with more regular damage between each blizard. it should increase your overall damage ( at least area damage)

Anyone tried it ? If yes any difference on the clean speed ?

Max orb skip ice bolt the damage increase is so small for orb.

Max others for blizz. There you go

you can go FO and fire wall, that is a safe way to play FO

Orb over Glacial Spike is much more favored especially since Cool Downs are no longer shared. Ice Blast also shares dual synergy since that is typically maxed out as a secondary damage.

I ran a semi budget Sorc last couple seasons that ran Orb Blast and Blizz, and it works super well. With end game gear the loss of synergy is minimal since Blizz does so much damage anyway, but the inclusion of Orb adds the AoE aspect to it.

I actually went frozen orb20 + blizzard20 this season - its great for clearing trash, and blizzard still does extreme damage - clearing all the content easily with budget gear

Did you compare the kill speed ?

P1 it's no contest, cause even a trash orb build is adequate. With mid tier gear it's much faster since Blizz is already doing plenty. Haven't done high player count, but I can't imagine that it'd be inferior with a couple extra pieces like Fathom and a few facets.

yes - i would not recommend orb above p3

depends on play-style. i assume solo playing, so -

for me me pure blizz ( not a single point in orb ) is the better way for elite hunting, and boss killing. clear speed is awesome, saftey is awesome, it's cheap, easy to stack mf.

orb\blizz is simply a better way for clearing trash, that's about it.

both works, very much depends on your play-style.
