Why is so hard to get an anni now days. I remeber back in the days diablo walk in so many games but now i create many private games and never walk . Is it banned ?

No one is playing old d2 but a few nerds like us. The main soj sellers have left the game. There was a free anni for all run the other day in europe, thanks to one mate.

He appears in all games in the same IP, so you can get a lot of annis if you have a lot of accounts.

There was a specific process for this. You had to make an online d2 game.. open the dosbox thing.. write a specific command to show the ip-number of that game .. Netstat -n i believe it was. I believe it was something like 120 different ip's, and it was random which ip was made each game.

The number of sojs sold had to be between 75-125. Then when it spawns, it is reset.

There was a webpage, or several, that showed these ip's and how many sojs had been sold - it also showed the pace of which the sojs were being sold. By following this, one could actively hunt these more or less active servers .. then camp in the game until the event activated.

I think that mostly, there were bigger bot groups that had enough sojs to sell that arranged for this .. but now, the economy in the old d2 has probably collapsed due to lower player amounts, so it doesn't happen much more. I don't support botting either way though.. it can probably be done with groups of players playing normally, but imagine having the luck to find 125 sojs to guarantee the spawn .. then gathering enough people to make it worthwhile.. hunting and camping the ip servers. I've played d2 on and off since it's release and i think i found a soj only once very early, i don't even remember. I have found about 100-150 rings during my playtime, so they must be incredibly rare.

But it was really good fun to hunt these servers back in the day ^^ Having the patience to wait 1-2 minutes before making a new game was the hardest part ^^ I remember getting long ban periods because i didn't have the patience .. sucked big time ^^ But i also remember being lucky and getting into the correct servers, it was good fun ^^

i remeber when i start play d2 on bNet ive learn how to check the ip of the game i was in,after that ive check the mIrc chanel where show the hot ip-s so if the ip i was in it was hot , i was going to wait for dclone to walk . It was a channel on mIrc that helps alot , that happen on version 1.10 i believe. Today is so hard to get one of anni
