Chukonu vs mat bow for ice zon? what is better?

Chukonu has really fast attack speed with -60. Mat bow has +3 skills but much lower attack speed. Im about to make one so i need to know. I feel like the crazy fast attack speed of the crossbow would be really cool. and you could potentially use it for another class.

I always vote for grand matron, because you can deal with the cold immunes with better physical damage, combined with strafe and atma's scarab.

Crossbows, at least chukonu, has a max ias bp of 11 fps. However, that is not so bad, since having very fast attack speed drains mana very quickly, and you deal good damage as it is, especially against packs, so while shooting freezing arrows fast is definitely an advantage, shooting very fast is not really speeding things up that much.

As matriarchal bow has the same breakpoints as chukonu, and (only) 0.5 damage more, it is not worth using chukonu over matriarchal. It would as you mention only be for using it on other characters .. but i don't think you can use it on a1 merc though if that is a concern..

I think here is not that much to be gained by reaching for higher level breakpoints, even if you pierce 100% of the time.

Thanks it seems like if its for a zon i should use a mat bow. I was thinking about using an ice bow for a cool holy freeze aura ice paladin. Do u think that build would be able to kill stuff ok? I was gonna have an chant sorc chant him so hed have max lvl chant. or i could use hellmouth or demon limb. although he would be using regular arrows the holy freeze auras should stack with ice weps. so hed have a crazy high like lvl 40 holy freeze! or i could use a kuku bow and use holy fire or holy freeze. what do u think about a holy freeze ice bow paladin?

actually nvm about the stacking holy freezes. the best thing would be to use max conviction with faith merc.

Just tried harmony on a fanaticism paladin a week ago. It works surprisingly well. I think you would be quite successful with your setup and it sounds interesting.

Demon limb is common to use for enchanting, great strategy that.

Chu kok nu has a limit at 10fpa.
Bow does not.

So if u want a now, without ias stuff to shot decent fast its good. Like forexample on a melee sorc. But u can always get higher breakpoint at bows.

Harmony is a cool wep. im about to make a harmony chu ko nu for my bow chantress. gonna revive monsters that shoot fire or exploding arrows and chant them lol! i also have a +3 skill mat bow harmony for my zon to do the same and hunters bow harmony for if i ever make some kind of wolf or bear druid that cant tele.

Rn the bow chantress is using demon machine or brand. prolly my fav build tbh. I love setting up a ton of hydras nearby and it looks like im shooting tons of fire everywhere. damage isnt bad. my variation uses dream helm instead of shako to help kill fire immunes. also max light mastery instead of dumping more into fire wall. I dont really like that skill.

Also i could use blood ravens charge for that zon to chant minions and still be able to shoot explosive arrows myself but u get less minions only 5. Its hard to find a p one. its one of those really rare perfects that arent that valuable.
