I’m looking to make a rare/craft Smiter, I got gloves, ring and ammy but that’s it. What do I need? 40 life bv? What about the wep? We can use magic items right?

A magical item is not a rare nor a crafted item.
For your purposes, it may be ok.

Magical weapon could be better than finding a rare/crafted since you really want the mods on it.
+Paladin or Paladin combat skills / Attack speed / Sockets / + x skill
This is what you want to shoot for.
Crafted weapon isn't really helpful in rolling for this since you will lose 2 rolls.

Have you ever seen a guide for this kind of Smiter? I’m trying to see what my options are. I think they are using magic items in the craft melee league?
