Any builds with this sorc yet?

Yes, if you managed to find a really good base, you can go for 80+%es fireball build with 40:60 life mana ratio. Makes you less vulnarable to poison/ow but still keeping important stats like fcr/dmg/resist high.

You lose block and/or mana but you gain more life & weaken proc so that is the trade off.

This is for pvp.

no, not really. there are more effective build options for every element



and do less dmg, have less mana sustain, have lower survivability than an infy or cmoon + spirit build. terrible idea

I like the rw, pretty op from some aspects, lacking in others.

There's no "best" really, infact there's like several variants and guides pinned and all of them are viable, with some being better against various matchups.
Tbh, it really depends on individual's comfortability on mitigation.

Hoto spirit has the benefit of higher mana value for Es (~1.8k life / 4.5kmana)
Orb/mb has 75% block (~2k life / 3.2k mana)
Obsession has bigger life pool and 24% lv10 weaken proc (~3.5k life / 2.5kmana)
*above are stats with 80% es in mind.

I myself prefer a orb/mb build, maybe i am just bad at evading melee attacks but that is something i prefer having, knowing that i can still rely on my mb% if i make a mistake/mis-tele or get greedy and turret too long.
Someone with better prediction/movement might not need that mb% and can go for better life/mana/dmg allocation.

And yes, tals actually does a pretty good job if build correctly and for it's price.
There was a recent discussion couple mths ago on tals build which is worth a look.

Obsession is always worse than other easy to get options.

if you want a 117 svs lite sorc, i'd use obsession

pretty much any sorc other than that very niche build, there's better options... but obsession isn't terrible if you want to use it bc staves look cool and you can get a decent base
