hey guys
need opinions please with upcoming ladder reset i want to have my mind made up
im thinking along the lines of assasin or barb everyone says sorc but i dont rly enjoy sorc gameplay so any suggestions opinions appreciated

Bone Necro, Wind Druid, Trap Sin, Javazon, Blizz Sorc, Hammerdin, FoH Din are all solid choices.

assassin will suck on traps until you get infinity.

barb is solid, but you need a decent weapon until you get a grief or botd or similar.

necro is solid as well.

Trap sin is a great starter with multiple types of damage you don't have to worry about much. Just make sure to buy a lower res wand for bosses. Getting a shadow master can help tank, and using fade early will help with res and damage reduction.

just make sure to use mind blast to keep enemies away and fighting each other - cloak of shadows to stop archers and spirits from firing at you. and places 5 traps until 1 dies then use a death sentry.

Very easy to get started and pretty cheap as well.

trapsin is ok, can progress by herself.

barb is painful in the level range 35-49, since there are no good melee runewords and not many uniques here. if you are lucky you can get some useful rares, but if you are not, you might lose lots of time in this phase of the game.

summon/CE necro struggles at norm Dia/Baal and Maggot Lair, but does a fairly good job anywhere else. also not gear dependent.

druid is hard to progress and level with self found stuff imo. wind needs quite some skill points to really shine whereas shapers have the same problems as barbs. maybe summoning druid does the job with a respec later on into wind druid?

pala. zealer works PvM if you add some elemental dmg (or even an elemental aura) against immunes. hammerdin loses clear speed without enigma but is still just as deadly, also vigor+charge give high mobility.

Amazon... meh. both bow and java need some specific gear to reach their potential in hell mode, not the first choice for a starting char imo
