Is the 10% dr on shako pointless? Should I just switch to nightwing's?

My normal build is:

Sol'd Shako (9dr, 10% dr)
Sol'd Viper (13mdr, 9dr)
String of Ears (15mdr)
HOTO
Spirit Shield (8 magic absorb)
Magefist
Water Walks
Dwarf Star (15mdr, 15% fire absorb)
SOJ
Mara's

With 75% ES in d2r (where mana burn is fixed in hell), this is incredibly tanky. I hurt the most from physical damage.

I need the skills/extra dmg from spirit shield because I grush with side quests and i need to be able to solo all the content.

I could use the extra damage on nightwing's, and i'm not sure if it's worth losing the 10% dr on shako. if the dr on shako is useless because of ES then i have to switch to nightwings.

Is the 10% dr on shako pointless? Should I just switch to nightwing's?

I use fireball between orbs and on cold immunes.

Otherwise, my main attack is max Orb.
-100% cold mastery, lvl 15 base ice bolt synergy.

Allways would use nw > shako ... as u said they fixed mana Burn so the game is pretty easy now ... more dmg= faster killin speed and nice style
