Is an infinity 100% necessary for a lite sorc, or am I better off going with blizzard/ hydra starting out?

Kinda balling on a budget for the time being

bliz/hyrda will cover everything if you are not geared.. infinity isnt necessary just dam annoying, you just have to depend on ur merc.

To be able to run chaos and Baal you will need infinity to be of any use to others and yourself playing the game!

light sorcs are outclassed by cold and cold/fire hybrids without infy.

pure blizzard is probably the most effective build with bad gear. orb + hydra or orb + fb works well if you're not fond of skipping immunes / have a bad merc
