What uniques shouldnt be upgraded? is vampire gaze the only unique that shouldnt be upgraded? this doesnt include items like t gods that shouldnt be upped because of the super high str requirements. im more thinking items that might end up with less defense for some reason which is kinda dumb. I once upped an eth 20% dr v gaze and it ended up with less def...

Just check base defense of the upgraded item. For vampire gaze upgraded is Bone Visage - 100-157 def

oh ok a grim helm is 60-125. if u upgrade it i guess it rerolls the base def so u could end up with less def like i did! best to just leave it alone lol. unless maybe ur ahve a really low rolled v gaze. i guess it comes down to what ur base def rolled

also keep in mind that some unique/set items always spawn with fixed def, vamp gaze always has 252 def and 100 ed (126 base def). in these cases base def is usually maxed, so the chances of lowering def while upgrading is even increased

ok that is good to know. what about lidless or any other uniques? I keep a lot of weird items and like to up stuff like that? is that the same deal with lidless?
