supposing a very common build which you use 9x life gcs (35-39) and 10x life/mana scs (light sorc btw)

on zero vitality life turn out to be around 1600. mana 4000 on max block whitstans

with that in mind, there are 2 open sockets. one in circlet, one in shield.

should i go all life or mana?

main reason why life could be handy is to avoid poison dmg and OW from melees and bowas. but mana helps tanking energy shield of course

what do you guys think?

one of the silliest narratives in d2 history is that life is less important on an ES sorc, when it fact it's more important.

1600/4000 in blocksetup? Na

I use enigma
maybe not 4000 mana. only 3850 . almost 4000 if i p sapp the helm. but it's 1628/3856 without the 2x sockets i mention in the topic

17 mana scs
prebuff with shako maras spirit for lvl 20 bo

amu has 106 mana
circlet has 75 mana
20 stat torch 20 stat anni

Eld in whistans so u can stat less dex and pruby in second socket.
Dont like ur choice to use enigma in blocksetup
Would put on wws instead of aldurs. Get a circ and amu with dex. U dont need MB in every matchup.

1) eld would spare 10 points in dex. it would increase mana up to 3914. sur on the other hand would make it exact 4000
2) im not always MB. sometimes i use spirit. enigma also helps using
- a Luna (100 str req), it has increase block rate compared to round shield.
- spirit for cvc duels and better BO level
3) aldur boots for 40 frw and life. fire res helps vs fire sorc duels (fire damage always reaches life) otherwise FRW is crucial for fights vs hdin,smite,nado,bones,cs zons, even whirlwinds. right now im at 115frw and i dont dare decrease a single bit of it
4) it's hyb light and cold and it's doing pretty well in duels. people cant sorb her like they would on single element

Its min maxing.
Put on wws and eld in whistans against barbs ww assas and bowas. This way u will have more mana on main setup. I reach mb with 0dex and got 5.4k mana in mainsetup. If i would stat dex like u it would drop to 4.8k. And why would u even walk with ur lame build anyway. Orb covers the whole map and its triggers when u close. Aldurs on es sorc is just L
