I've seen some vids of A5 mercs doing very nice dmg and having almost unkillable quality

Anyone experimented with less than standard A2 merc builds and had greater success?

also would like to know about merc changes, good question hopefully someone can put something together for the forums.

A2 Merc Might Aura is my go to. I think A2 has some budget options for survivability and tankiness, but A2 has so much cheap utility with Might and Insight. Plague in an A5 is the only runeword that I would argue would compete with A2 cause Cleansing removes Decrepify a lot more quickly for more efficient Chaos Sanctuary farming, Lawbringer for Decrep.

Well i guess eth reaper's, fortitude and kira's guardian would be the ultimate setup. Jewels could be damage oriented.

A2 Prayer merc with Insight (Meditation) those two auras stack so you get a massive liferepbonus. On ES sorcs this is a must but also really good on other classes like Hdin. Eth Andys 30/10 with a 15/30 Ias/fres jool and Eth SA Fortitude. Cant go wrong with it.
