Im currently running build below but looking for ways to mini-max for smooth solo chaos runs in 8P game.

Griff all res/ias jewl
Eth titans
Enigma dusk
Spirit Monarch
Tri res boots with frw
2/20 gloves with ml and res
Fcr ring with 6 ml, mana and res
Raven
Razor

Merc
Andy ias/fire res
Eth Sa Fortitude
Eth Tresher Infinity

Whats going through my mind now is (other input not surrounding belove question is ofcourse welcome)

1. Would it be better to sacrifice fcr bp (spirit) to equip a Jmod for Chaos?
2. Would it be better to sacrifice fcr bp (spirit) to equip Phoenix for Chaos?
3. If yes on 1 or 2, would also then be better to sacrifice cta for wizz+spirit on swap for 99 fcr?
4. Would it be better to swap eth titans for 5/40 for chaos?
5. Is Mancatcher beffer then Tresher for a2 merc with andy+ias jewel?

I could ofcoruse try to swap some stuff out but would love to hear other peoples experience before I put in time and fg to hunt down specific items

1. Would it be better to sacrifice fcr bp (spirit) to equip a Jmod for Chaos? - I don't think so, the massive FCR/FHR/mana is better for killing spread out mobs. Jmod for Baal+waves
2. Would it be better to sacrifice fcr bp (spirit) to equip Phoenix for Chaos? - maybe, if you can't stand potting. I still think the FCR/FHR is better
3. If yes on 1 or 2, would also then be better to sacrifice cta for wizz+spirit on swap for 99 fcr? - if you're really rushing/getting BO'd maybe, but I ran tstroke on swap for ghosts+D
4. Would it be better to swap eth titans for 5/40 for chaos? - def not, you need the physical damage from eth titans to kill the unbreakable immunes
5. Is Mancatcher beffer then Tresher for a2 merc with andy+ias jewel? - I like flickering flame + CoH. The massive fire res is super useful both for Zon and for CS, CoH gives LL+counter to LR/convict+damage to undead and demons. Way I see it is you're doing all the killing as Java, your Merc is just a wingman and this build suits his role better

I would use Phoenix in off hand.

I agree, if you find potting that annoying (I personally do) then you could sacrifice some +skills for a phoenix.
I think JMOD and 6/40's are overkill even in players 8. Eth titans work just fine, hell probably regular high stat titans as well.
I'm not so sure which of the two bases are better, and I get you're min maxing, but both are solid options IMO.
I wouldn't base my build around sacrificing the FCR breakpoint, but also if you're only doing chaos, perhaps you don't need it always.

Do you Maek anywhere? If not, silkweaves would help, or putting a 15ias 3maek jewel in your griffon. Much cheaper than Phoenix offhand, which I find to be clunky. Some swear by Phoenix though.

Personally I just have a 15ias3maek jewel in my griffon and never have mana issues. I run cows, and wskp a lot p1-p8.

1. You can teleport with cta swap spirit for 68 and use jmod on main swap
2. Phoenix sux
3. Risky but could work at lower levels, wouldn’t do it for just 1 frame personally
4. Damage wise yes but the speed loss by repairing it constantly is not worth it tbh
5. Possibly, depends on the rest of ur merc, his aura, his armor type. I would check and ias calculator to see if this specific instance benefits you

get rid of ml and get maek. switch your boots vs silks, you don't need res

you could also upgrade to a rare 4/40 with inc stack or rep rather than a 5/40. opens up your amu slot and griffon jewel slot
