thinking about starting a gold find/horker barb. any pointers on gear and stuff? is grief necessary? or do we only rely on merc to kill?

You can rely on merc to kill; it’s technically better. I find it to be a pain in the ass and not worth it.

1 grief + ss + loh let’s you clear trav super fast, safe, and efficiently. Most people prefer oh to be 6 lem pb.

Rest of your gear is gf stuff. Switch can be lemed cs. Or baba lemed.

yes i am look at maxroll's standard gf barb.. it uses grief.. hence why i am asking the questions

Ahh okay- well I usually don't use grief. I go for dual alibaba, or 2 Cs with 6 lems each hand

you can start with double oath and duress laying of hands infernostride 2 dwarf stars and crown of thieves. if your merc keeps dying obedience+guardian angel+tal mask will keep him alive always unless theres conviction aura. grief is not necessary, it just allows you to ditch the loh and put on more goldfind gear so in the end you just have say, grief death, and you are just wearing a wealth on a ds, making you very vulneralbe but you offset it with the clear speeed that grief gives you, its nice but not necesary. 2 lem ali babas on switch is the standard.

Keep in mind that if you have to run away and there are some council corpses on the ground, if you cannot see them anymore on your screen they might despawn and you cant item find them. Frozen shattered corpses cant be usedd either but sometimes clearspeed is more important than getting all the corpses i think.

In the past i would have said just whirl them to death but blizzard effed up whirlwind now so that slow mechanics like holy freeze actually matter
