Having a lot of fun poking things to death. Feels a little squishy ATM.

Using Griffons, but don't feel like the damage bump is needed. Alternatives? Andy's Socketed with a Cham opens up an extra BK ring for like, 15% more life steal and 48% IAS breakpoint.

CoA socketed with "BerBer" seems good too.

Anyone else tried not running griffons? If you did, what would you use? What setup has felt the most QOL for you thus far? What additional AR have you found to be the sweet spot for leeching life/mana?

The conviction does reduce defense, making AR much less important, and Charged Strike / Lightning Strike don't need AR to hit for their lightning damage, but I believe the physical damage hit for leeching life and mana does require an AR check.

Do you mean that it reduces defense enough on its own?
I've noticed I'm not hitting quite a lot (though it could be my character level). Or is there a range where the lightning part of the attack will happen, but the physical hit is too far away?

change your coh for eni and your cats for hl. keep griffon obviously

unless you enjoy being slow and inefficient, then go ahead and play without tele

Surprisingly, that's actually what I've enjoyed about the build. I'm interacting with mobs rather than just them exploding helplessly a screen or more away. I think I've reverted to a lower form of gameplay that I enjoy haha.

well in that case just go whichever route makes you happy, experiment a bit. gear advice is usually rooted in efficiency

I was hoping for discussion on alternative setups from the meta, which I don't think is solved for this build yet. You have good points, but I don't know that they answer the question.

If you're building anything other than Lightning Fury, then there is some implied desire to sacrifice efficiency for something that may not be so easily defined, yet is incontroveribly a vital part of building effecvitly (you might call it "fun" or "QOL" but I don't think it's that simple). That is to say, while efficiency is important, I don't think it's fair to imply there is no point to discussing any other facet of gameplay from an analytical viewpoint.

Lots of options but Griffons is definitely bis for PvM. If I were to wear something else, it would be a 2/30/20 zon circ with sexy mods. I also wear CoH because I’m bored of zipping around on my blizz or hammerdin and I find running cows is still super efficient.

And my go-to for affordability before a nice helmet is always a +2 Valk. Lots of useful stats on it and you can socket with an ias/res jewel.
