How much -res do i want as a lightning sorc ?

to put every monster i meet down to -100, do i need -200 ?

something about -res only works 50% when they are still immune ?

When a monster is immune then lr and conv work at 1/3rd effecience (i think, please arrest me if its 1/4th)
Monsters loose their immunity when below 100% res.
Conv does -85 if on merc and can do -140 if carried by char.
Lr from chargets in wand is around -43.

-res from items dont work on immunes, so if u dont break them with lr or conv they remain immune. If they are broken then they work the same ammount they have.

Taking away enemy res has a huge factor on ur end damage.

Ideally people claim that crescent moon + griffon deals most dmg and is best. But some prefer hoto. I have never played light sorc myself though.

The reason light is most effective is that light immune monsters dont have much over 100res, meanwhile most fire immunes has absurd high numbers and wont be broken, i think its party the same with cold and maby psn.

Its 1/5th when it comes down to removing immunity. So Infiniti is giving -17 Light ress for monsters with 100+.
So with infi you can break immunity with maximum 116 Light ress. After that go także your other sources of -ress with full efficiency.
Yes, crescent moon is beat weapon if you want to maximise your DMG. It doesnt matter much on P1, but will be huge difference on P8
