I don't play d2r but played hcl bowa many years. I use decoy and valkyrie, strafe and guided arrow. The usual faith+fortitude+atma's scarab setup, with kira's guardian for extra resist boost. Or at least that's what i aim for. You can use anything as long as you're careful enough.

You run forward and cast decoy at the edge of the screen every so often. Make sure your valkyrie and merc aren't far behind or away from you, in case you get rushed by a super strong mob. Cast valkyrie if there is a mob and start strafing. Positioning is always the key to efficiency, reading the game. Merc use pride+might.

Any way you cut it, you have to play carefully .. you won't have more than 1200-1500 hit points and must make clever use of your minions. But if you do that, you can play almost any area in the game with safety. Only thing you have to change is a ring for wisp projector and maybe the belt for thundergod's vigor if you plan to run where there are black souls.

Hc bowazon needs knocback and you can find in windforce, giant skull helm or in gloves. Another important thing to stay alive is the good use of decoy. Always cast him in front of you in dangerous places and will have no problems

No need for knockback... never missed it. It seems to mess up the hit detection somewhat and just delay the killing of monsters.

I'm playing hc as bowa and its going OK. I got a deal on a windforce w a jewel that has some Ed and ias in it. Doing strafe and guided arrow. I want to respec to either cold/fire bowa or try a hybrid but I want it to do well at like players 3 so I'm still figuring it out
