I heard different views on this - do Defensive GCs provide synergies to holy shock and holy fire in a Paladin Auradin (Dual Dream + Hoj + Dragon)?

Yes, only hard points. Resist lighting and fire give the most damage. Salvation not so much, but helps both auras.

Yes, i think they are useless. Because if you want to make a suport paladin i would go with offensive skills and conviction, fanaticism, etc...

Got it! For my auradin I think I will invest in melee charms then to boost physical damage…
