Slowly saving up to roll an infinity in my eth cryptic axe.

Let's say worst case scenario I roll a 45/55.

Current gear is classic blizz sorc:
Shako
3pce tals
2x Nagel
Hoto
Spirit Mon
Rare mf boots
Magefist
Cta and spirit on swap.
Anni
Some res charms

My question is, will a complete anus infinity roll with my current gear produce a light sorc that will increase clear speed at most locations?

Infinity on merc the -res doesnt matter

Do people generally load up on additional damage with light facets and such for 8 player games then? Inpretty much only play solo

Would running a Merc armor with plus skills make more sense for this build than fort then?

auras from items can only be boosted if worn by a paladin and the aura has a synergy. for example holy shock aura can be boosted by skilling +resist lightning aura
+skills on mercs only affect their skills (i.e. jab for a2, cold arrow for a1)

sorc elemental mastery can boost elemental damage as well but that doesn't apply here
