how does - enemy resistance on items work does it only activate when my skill makes contact with the enemy or does it lower the resistance in the game monster stat sheet, in the game script, or is it all the enemies around me on my computer screen? how does - resist item mod actually function? thanks!

p.s. for example, if i use the breath of the dying runeword to cast poison nova on kill, will bramble runeword make that poison nova stronger?

Yes and yes. Only works for you, but affects every skill and effects from all items.

Every point of negative resistance id equal to 1percent damage

works with your skills, oskills applied to you

you have ebotd /w trangs +25% pd will apply

you have enchant, +5% facet will apply if you are wearing the jewel



-res works better as the sum of resistance approaches 0

if you have -35 resist, opponent have 75 resist sum= 40 away from zero

if you have -35 resist, opponent have -20 resist sum= -55 away from zero

first case will have a better affect on applied damage

Et also helps when psn/fire/light from items blends with skills such as venom, enchant, holy shock, holy fire.

Why wouldn’t it work

"-x% to enemy resistance" really means "your damage penetrates x% resistance"
there's no activation or range or debuf
