I decided this ladder season to only use a barbarian for the entirety of ladder. Right I am level 93 (#53 on barb ladder as of yesteday) and have the typical WW barb (Dual Grief, enig, gore riders etc). I just got my enigma yesterday and I wanted to become a super clearer.

I want to do Trav>Nihl>Pindle>Chaos>Cows>Pit all on a barb and I had the idea of making a Grief+Beast Zerker Axe Frenzy Barb with the goal of giving my dual Grief PB's to an A5 Merc and eventually putting a last wish on the barb merc (way down the line)

Has anyone tried this out? I've seen videos of frenzy barbs destroying the cow level and I think with enigma, I can clear lvl85 areas faster than a pitzerker. I'd love your thoughts.

Arachnids mesh

Arreats

+2 FCR ammy

Laying of hands/Steelrends (depending on zone)

Alibabas on switch.

zerker can use a 6 ist pb in off hand is his advantage, frenzy is good for the fun of it all due to the fast run speed. in terms of damage your dual pb setup would still be supreme though

That’s good to know as far as damage output is concerned. I think I just have a curiosity that just won’t subside until I try it. I think I’m gonna stay ww for now and just try beast grief and stay +1 frenzy for the LOL.

Grief + Beast zAxe for the 2-range is the truth.
Infin on an A2 Might Merc means your AR% is taken care of due to Infin's -defense, and you have good scaling.

I went for the memes and put my pb grief’s on magnus (a5 merc) and had fun slicing through chaos. The damage output is definitely nice with beast + grief

There are legit reasons to use arreats over gface, like strength bonus, leech, res, attack rating, plus to skills etc etc. More so the leech since you are using dual griefs, which have fuck all for leech.

Gface gives 15% deadly which after your crit strike chance goes to more like 9% chance of double damage and crushing blow is entirely overrated for general pvm. Its fine for a cheap helmet.

I also use pride merc on my whirlwind barb most of the time because by the time he procs decrep the targets are already dead, might as well stack on an extra 350 ED that stays on all the time.

Sure it's not as good for killing baal himself but I already skullfuck diablo in like 3 whirls.

Swap to gface and then try arreats and time your runs you will notice almost zero difference. The arreats will allow you to whirl with more reckless abandon because it actually has leech and defensive stats like res.

Melee in this game is like driving a shitty car. You're not winning any speed records, you might as well go with the smoothest ride amd the most comfortable seats.

On swap I like using cheap dual hotos. Easy 63 fcr breakpoint, 6 to skills good mix between speed and a shitload more life from bo.
